Capability Tour
4WD mastery and leadership - it has always been at the core of the Jeep® brand.
A Jeep® Trail Rated® badge is found on all 4x4s that
pass a series of grueling tests designed to prove off-road capability
on the world’s most demanding terrain.
There are five main categories of testing:
- Traction
- Ground clearance
- Water fording
- Maneuverability
- Articulation
Some of Wrangler's bragging rights (as if it needs any):
- Most traction of any Wrangler ever
- Best-in-class water fording capability[1] - through up to 30 inches of water
- Best-in-class ground clearance, approach and departure angles[1]
- Best-in-class turning diameter[1], shortest length and wheelbase
Off-Road Performance
- You
can expect to Go Anywhere, Do Anything™ in a Jeep®
vehicle, thanks to over 69 years of tried and true off-road
craftsmanship.
- Wrangler has two Trail Rated® 4WD systems:
- Rock Trac®
- Command-Trac®
Towing
You already know that Jeep® Wrangler allows you to conquer any
terrain, but it also has a healthy 2,000-pound towing capacity when
properly equipped.
- Available
Trailer Sway Control[1] (TSC) works with Electronic Stability
Control[1] (ESC) and Antilock Brake System (ABS), alternating brake
pressure to automatically correct oscillation in the vehicle trailer
system. The ESC function lamp will flash when TSC is
activated.
TSC benefits:
- Reduces trailer sway
- Improves handling in adverse towing conditions caused by crosswinds and traffic
- Does not require any driver input
- Automatically activates when needed
